Pennsylvania Dutch Noodles

Serves: many
 
1 package egg noodles, cooked 6 to 8 minutes
2 15 oz cans whole tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp basil, crumbled
1 TBS margarine

Sauté onion in margarine until soft. Add blendereized tomatoes, parsley, salt, pepper and basil. Cook 20 minutes on low heat. Add noodles and cook 10 minutes more or until heated through.
