Roast Beef Marinade

 

4 pound beef roast
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 bottle Zinfandel wine
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
Juice of 1 lime

Mix all ingredients together and marinade over night or at least 2 hours. Use 1/2 cup marinade for basting. Use the rest for gravy by heating it until 1/3 reduced. As a side dish, quarter a red onion, rub olive over surface, squire and grill for 10 minutes.
