Charley’s Cajun Goulash

2 Tablespoon stewing beef
2 Tablespoons oil
3 medium onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne powder
2 teaspoons marjoram leaves
3 teaspoons thyme
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or more)
16 ounces whole tomatoes
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 cup water

Brown beef in 1 TBS oil and reserve with juice. Sauté onions and garlic in remaining oil until onions are translucent. Add remaining ingredients and water to desired consistency. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. And if you really like, you can add 2 cubed potatoes and simmer 20 minutes or serve over spatzle.
