Broccoli Stir Fry
Serves: 8
1 tbs. sesame seeds
1 cup cold chicken broth
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tbs. peeled, chopped, ginger root
2 tbs. soy sauce
2 tbs. corn oil
1 clove finely chopped garlic
10 cups broccoli flowerets
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the sesame seeds in the
preheated oven and toast until a golden brown, about 5 minutes. Watch
carefully, as they burn easily. Set aside. Combine broth and mix until
cornstarch is dissolved. Add ginger and soy sauce. Mix well and set aside. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet. Add garlic and cook
until it sizzles; do not brown. Add broccoli and toss for one minute. Pour
chicken broth mixture over the broccoli, cover and cook for 4 minutes or until
just tender. Add toasted sesame seeds and mix well.
