Egg Rolls
Makes 30
4 cups oil
1/2 cup ground pork
1/2 cup ground beef
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup bean sprout
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 bag (2 pounds) egg roll wrappers
1 can water chestnuts, diced
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 tsp. salt
2-3 tbs. soy sauce
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Fry pork and beef in small amount of oil. Spice with garlic powder. When
cooked, drain grease (unless you are Mom), then add cabbage, celery and
carrots. Spice with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add bean
sprouts and fry 2 more minutes. Place all in a large bowl. Cool. Take wrapper
and place 2 tbs. of ingredients on wrapper and roll up. Heat
oil in wok. Fry egg roll until golden brown.
